Let’s say you have an upcoming trip to New York. If you’re flying overseas you obviously want to avoid jetlag, but how are you going to prevent it? I wish I knew the answer to that before travelling to the U.S. for the first time. Luckily I came across Howcast, a great site where you can watch fun and high-quality how-to videos on everything from Arts & Media to Environment, Food & Drink, Mind & Body and, of course, Travel. Howcast’s videos tell you exactly how to do something with no risk of misunderstandings.
Note: For some reason the Howcast versions didn’t work on this WordPress blog, so I used the equivalent YouTube videos instead.
How To Pack Everything For Your Vacation Into a Carry-on
This video gives terrific tips on how to travel light. Why carry more than you need?
How To Avoid Jetlag
Who doesn’t want to avoid jetlag?
How To Pretend You’re a Real New Yorker
I couldn’t help but laugh when I watched this one.
How To Take A Cab in New York City
Even though walking is a great way to discover Manhattan, you do need to know how to catch a cab in New York City.
How To Dance Without Embarrassing Yourself
Last night in town and you want to hit the dance floor. This video is a must for everyone who doesn’t know how to dance.
For more info, watch What Is Howcast. And don’t forget to Sign up to create your own Howcast profile, suggest new videos and write how-to guides that can be made into videos by the Howcast network.

Loved the travelling light video, but it made me laugh when it said limit your shoes to two pairs. Is that possible for a woman?

Jon,
Nice blog you have! I like the ‘Top Ten Spring Break Activities’. Remember we did the same thing when I was in school, and everybody got to share their stories…
